Where
JACK
Stands on the Issues
Governed Responsibly and
Transparently
First and foremost, for government to work we need leaders who put efficient and effective government at the forefront of their work.
As your representative on City Council, I will lead by putting people before politics and prioritize finding solutions over making statements.
I will listen to what you say and use my background and skills to create better outcomes for you and all our neighbors in Westminster.

Government is a place where we are supposed to come together to solve problems that our community faces.
Affordable and
Accessible

As your representative on City Council, I will focus on working hard to manage growth in a responsible way, to ensure that as we continue to develop, we do so in a way that is smart and focused.
This includes ensuring that we listen to the voice of our neighbors who are most impacted and create space for everyone in our community to thrive.
While campaigning, I’ve heard from many people about how our growing community has left them behind. I spoke to a 60 year old woman with a mobility disability who was struggling to downsize because of the lack of accessible housing and infrastructure.
I also spoke with a young family looking to start their lives in Westminster but unable to find a single family home that they could afford.

These are not permanent problems, and we need a council that balances the reality of growth with a pragmatic approach to meet the needs of all our neighbors.
Safe and
Welcoming
Safety is much more than just law enforcement, it is developing safer communities through smarter infrastructure and preventing crime before it ever happens.
On city council, I will work to find creative solutions to public safety challenges, including working to build more robust alternate and co-response programs for crisis events, and incorporating public safety into conversations about infrastructure so we literally build safer streets though programs like adding streetlights and other saftey features in high crime areas.

For too long, our approach to public safety has been one-dimensional.
Justice for All

As a lawyer, I see the inner workings of Colorado’s court systems.
Here in Westminster, we spend, on average, over 60% more (which is over $1,000,000 more!) to administer our courts than our similarly sized neighbors.
We need a new approach to justice that keeps us safe and saves us money.
On City Council, I will work to create a more holistic approach to justice while also ensuring fiscal responsibility so that we can invest in measures that prevent crime before it happens.
